Toddler Computer Games

I decided to start teaching my 3yr old to use a computer, and found it difficult to find games that were easy enough for a complete beginner. So i thought i would save other parents time and share my findings.

The first thing i found very helpful was to change my cursor (mouse pointer) to something bigger and more colorful so it's easier for my toddler to see and follow.
Try something like - http://www.webfetti.com/MySpace/Cursors.jhtml
for free cursors.

Then to teach him how to use a mouse this was the best game i found - http://www.mostlymommies.com/games/infant_games.html - very simple, just click on the screen and a ball follows to where you clicked.

My favorite 2 game sites are;
- http://www.kneebouncers.com/index.php - a collection of 19 games, all your child needs to do is press any button on the keyboard to make things happen, highly recommended for beginners.
- http://www.choochoogames.co.uk/ - uses computer mouse, just click on objects to make things happen.

Other good toddler game sites i found;
- http://www.crayola.com/gamesfun/index.cfm?n_id=2
- http://www.ziggityzoom.com/games.php
- http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=2602&e=gamesByAge&mcat=game_infant
- http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/teletubbies/games/
- http://www.minimops.com/
- http://www.peekuboo.com/
- http://www.funwithspot.com/au/website.html
- http://www2.disney.co.uk/DisneyChannel/playhouse/index_games.htm
- http://pbskids.org/
- http://www.nickjr.com/games/all-shows/all-themes/all-ages/index.jhtml

There are many more but these are the ones i would recommend, my toddler enjoys these and some are educational too.
